Erna Elizabeth Herberholz

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Erna, who left us on September 28, 2016 with her family by her side.

Erna loved spending time with family and friends, always thinking of others before herself. She was the best gift giver, enjoyed catching a bite to eat, looking for treasures at antique fairs, and always seemed to have a good book on the go. She was a dedicated and proud lab technician for nearly 30 years in the Detroit and Windsor area. Erna will be remembered as a loving and caring person with a contagious laugh and winning smile. She lived life to the fullest and left us with wonderful memories to cherish, for this we will remain forever grateful.

Best friend and spouse to James “JJ” Jansen. Loving and devoted daughter to Anton & Anna Herberholz. She will be forever missed by her siblings Renate Bodri (Stephen), Nik Herberholz (Janice), Helga Antonelli (Jason) and especially her twin sister Erika Johnson (Rick). Favourite Tante to Amber (Drew) & Paige MacKay, Anton, Mason & Celina Herberholz , Jakob Johnson, and Isabella Antonelli. Erna will also be missed by many friends, co-workers and all those whose lives she has touched.

A special thank you to Anthony, Kim, and the entire 4th Floor Staff at Met Hospital.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Crohn’s & Colitis Canada, Lupus Ontario, or the Alzheimer’s Society. A private Celebration of Life will take place at the Victoria Greenlawn Funeral Home (1525 Hwy # 3, Oldcastle, Ont., 519-969-3939). Cremation. Private interment to follow.
