<div itemprop="description">Hector, a long-time resident of Tecumseh, Ontario, passed away peacefully at the age of 93 at Millennium Trail Manor Niagara Falls, on November 2, 2015, with his son, Ron; daughter-in-law, Cynthia and family by his side. He will be dearly missed by us, his granddaughter Shawna and grandson Jared. He is survived by his sisters, Stella Bellware and Irene Poirier; brother, Gaston Roberge; stepdaughter, Linda VanDuzen and her children: Vicky Lynn, Jenny, Rita and Jesse, as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Yvette &quot;Vicki&quot; Roberge (nee Venne), sister Margo Snelgrove and brother Lionel Roberge. Hector served in WWII from 1941-1946 and was awarded the France- Germany Star, Defence Medal Canadian Volunteer Service Medal, and other decorations in respect of his service during the WW11. He served in the United Kingdom, Continental Europe, and the USA. He was a life time member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 261. He was active in selling Poppies and spoke at many local schools. We wish to sincerely thank the staff at Millennium Trail Manor, for their exceptional and loving care of Hector, and our family, while he was with them. A Memorial Visitation will be held at Victoria Greenlawn Funeral Home, 1525 Highway #3, Oldcastle (519-969-3939) on Saturday, November 14, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. until the Chapel Service at 11:00 a.m. with an inurnment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. If desired, donations to The Last Post Fund or the Poppy Fund would be appreciated in lieu of flowers.</div>
