Reinhard Palnau was called into the presence of his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on April 26, 2016. Born on February 23, 1934 in Laszewo, Poland, he was the youngest child of Edward and Olga (Bukowska), and “favourite” brother to four sisters Ella Raddatz of Germany, Theresa Metz and Irmgard Templin of Windsor, Ontario and Martha Weinrauch of Florida. He was a loving dad to daughters Linda and Lori and is gratefully remembered by sons-in-law Mark Parrington and Jim Proctor. Reinhard valued education and was very proud of his six grandchildren: Daniel, Carolyn, Sharon, Lydia, Helen and Edward.

Reinhard, a graduate of W.D. Lowe High School and the Ford Trade School, applied his meticulous exactness in tool and die pattern-making in automotive design for American Motors and Chrysler. He is remembered for the creative ways he applied his problem solving skills to invent useful items out of wood. He loved reading the Bible, was passionate about healthy eating and enjoyed his retirement in Florida. When Alzheimer’s robbed him of his memories, he was yet a sweet, grateful and ice cream loving man.

Visitation will take place at Victoria Greenlawn Funeral Home (1525 Hwy 3, Oldcastle, Ont. 519-969-3939) on Saturday from 1:00pm until time of service. Celebration of Life will be held in the chapel at 2:00pm Saturday, April 30, 2016. Interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to Compassion Canada.
