It is with sadness, yet with great memories, we say good-bye to an amazing man who inspired so many people during his 14 year courageous battle with cancer. Buck was much loved and a hero to his wife and best friend of 32 years, Rosemary (nee Zuk) and their daughter Megan. He was the loving and caring son of Bernard and Justine Meloche, and fantastic brother to Dennis and Julie, Joe and Diane and to Clem (1979), who is waiting to meet him with a hockey puck and stick. He was also the very special brother-in-law of Carol McFadden. He will be missed by his niece and nephews, Brad (Deana), Renee (Eric) and Jacob, who all loved their Uncle Buck dearly. He was the best friend and Sunday morning driving buddy of "Porkie-Pine" (Ernie Drouillard) and his wife Audrey. He was the cherished 'Uncle Buckie" to Ross (Lauren), Joe and Jena (Mick) Drouillard who looked up to him as he taught them to fish and ski. He was the huntin' buddy of Dale Martin, Jeff Meloche, Gerry Meloche, Brian Feltham and his own two brothers Dennis and Joe, who all have just as bad of a shot as he did, but with whom he had the best time. He will be forever missed by many friends and family, who all have wonderful memories with him. We would like to thank Dr. Kanjeekal, who he trusted completely with his care, and the many amazing and compassionate nurses that cared for him. Buck retired from General Motors Transmission plant after 30 years, which allowed him to focus on his love of farming full-time. He was happiest behind the wheel of a tractor or combine, riding the fields, one with the land. He enjoyed his time at the cottage with family and friends, where he could fish all day, overlooking the peacefulness of the lake. Simple pleasures brought him much happiness. Please, instead of flowers, donate in his memory to the Windsor-Essex Regional Cancer Centre, this is what he would have wanted. As per Buck’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial visiting will take place on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 from 2-5 and 7-9 pm at Victoria Greenlawn Funeral Home (1525 Highway 3, 519-969-3939). Visiting will continue on Thursday, September 29, from 1 pm until the time of service at 3 pm.

"And on the 8th day, God looked down on his planned paradise and said, "I need a caretaker." So God made a farmer."
